KLM and British Airways have announced they’re bringing back their nonstop flights to Europe, from Juan Santamaría Airport to Amsterdam and London, respectively.
KLM will restart its Amsterdam service on October 28, 2024, with four flights a week.
The airline will leave Juan Santamaría on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 8:05 p.m., landing at its destination at 2:04 p.m. the next day.

British Airways, meanwhile, will return to London’s Gatwick Airport starting October 29, 2024.
The airline will fly the route three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Flights leave Juan Santamaría Airport at 6:35 p.m. and land in London at 10:55 a.m. the next day.
With these routes back, a total of 7 airlines now fly nonstop from Costa Rica to different cities in Europe.
Along with KLM and British Airways, there are Iberia and Iberojet (Madrid), Air France (Paris), Edelweiss (Zurich), and Lufthansa (Frankfurt).
Since the pandemic, airlines have gradually been bringing back the routes they once flew to different countries, and Costa Rica has been no exception.
