Volaris has announced that it will start flying from Costa Rica to Miami and Orlando in the US, and to Guadalajara and Tulum in Mexico.
The new service begins during the first week of July, right in the middle of the mid-year high season, and includes a daily flight from Orlando to Juan Santamaría International Airport.
The airline will also fly to Miami on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, on a direct route as well.

From Mexico, Volaris will increase its flights from Guadalajara, Jalisco, to Costa Rica, flying on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
This route launched this past October 29 with flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and thanks to the demand, the number of flights is now going up.
Volaris will also add a route between Tulum, Quinta Roo, and Costa Rica, with flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

These flights open up new expectations and opportunities for Costa Rica to keep attracting tourists, bringing jobs and progress to local communities, said Tourism Minister William Rodriguez.
Last year, 1,621,340 tourists visited Costa Rica from the US, its top source market for travelers, and 96,129 travelers came from Mexico.
Mexico ranks as Costa Rica’s third priority market, with Canada ahead of it in second place.
