Volaris Launches Flights From $79 Each Way to Tulum, Orlando, and Miami From Costa Rica

It’s official: starting in July 2025, Volaris will fly nonstop to Tulum, Orlando, and Miami from Juan Santamaría International Airport in Costa Rica.

At a press conference, Volaris executive Ronny Rodríguez confirmed that fares will start at $79 each way to Tulum and $99 each way to Orlando and Miami, taxes included.

Nonstop flights to Orlando will begin on July 1, followed by Tulum on July 2 and Miami on July 4.

For now, Volaris is the only airline flying from Costa Rica to Tulum, Mexico.

Here’s the Volaris schedule for those cities:

Orlando gets a daily flight, leaving at 7:30 a.m. and landing in Florida at 12:38 p.m.

The return flight leaves at 2:48 p.m. and lands in Costa Rica at 3:13 p.m.

Miami flights run on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, leaving at 8:19 a.m. and landing at 1:03 p.m. The return leaves at 2:33 p.m. and lands at 3:17 p.m.

The Tulum flight operates only on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, leaving at 8:30 a.m. and landing at 11:32 a.m.

Rodríguez also said the airline hopes to bring back its route from Costa Rica to Lima at some point, but outside factors, such as engine upgrades on some of its planes, make those flights impossible to offer right now.

Volaris currently flies from Costa Rica to 4 different destinations: Mexico City, Guadalajara, Cancún, Guatemala, and Los Angeles.
