Starting September 6, 2024, JetBlue will include, completely free for all travelers, a carry-on bag on its flights.
The airline is making the move in response to customer requests, and it will apply to all of the carrier’s fares.
In a press release, the airline also confirmed that this would apply to travelers who bought their tickets before that date.
In other words, if you’re flying JetBlue and already have tickets for travel after September 6, you’ll benefit too.
JetBlue said travelers will keep their free personal item and also get a free carry-on.
If all the space on the plane fills up, the airline will check any remaining carry-ons at no extra cost to the traveler.
“A carry-on bag is an essential part of the trip for our customers. By giving them the choice between JetBlue’s award-winning service and another airline’s basic offering, we want JetBlue to be the obvious choice,” said Marty St. George, president of JetBlue.
The airline said travelers will still get more legroom in economy class, seatback entertainment at every seat, and fast, free, unlimited Wi-Fi on all flights.
