5 Changes Disney World Is Making to Its Parks Starting in 2024

Starting January 9, 2024, Disney World is making major changes at its parks for all visitors.

Keep in mind that this applies only to the parks at the Orlando, Florida, complex: Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The first change is that you no longer have to reserve in advance the exact day you want to visit a park.

This had been put in place because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but you won’t need to reserve a specific day to go to a park anymore.

The second change Disney World is making has to do with dining and parking. Guests staying at Disney hotels can opt for the dining plan and will also get free parking.

The third thing travelers should know is that downloads of select PhotoPass attraction photos taken in the park on the day of your visit are now included when you buy the Disney Genie+ service.

On top of that, the trams that take visitors from the parking lot to the park entrances have returned to all four Disney World theme parks.

Finally, the company announced that the “Park Hopper” service, which gives you the option of going to two parks in the same day, no longer has to wait until after 2 p.m.

In other words, travelers can once again visit another theme park at any time of day during the park’s opening hours.
